1950s Eames style house bird

When I saw this bird I immediately thought of the folk art bird that Charles and Ray Eames had in their house- it shares the same fluidity and streamlined style. Very tactile.

The simplicity of the carving echoes the lines of the original bird and what really sets it off are the small metal legs. Just so you are clear, this is not a Vitra edition, and is also not a reproduction trying to mimic the original.

The dimensions when stood up are 14cm long, 13.5cm high and 6cm deep.

As the body is made from solid wood every bird is slightly different in grain and overall colouring.
